I'm Nila, the president for the 2009-10 academic year, and I started this blog so all of the Recurso directors, consejeros, and eboard members could have an effective tool to engage each other and the UF community. We are all passionate, informed, thoughtful, and opinionated -- so what better way to keep each other updated, than on the web?

What is Recurso?
Recurso is a non profit student organization at the University of Florida that works to provide direct, sustainable aid to communities in developing nations, and to promote awareness on the UF campus of issues surrounding poverty in developing nations. The seven areas of our focus are famine and hunger, water and sanitation, women and gender ineqality, genocide and human rights, children's rights and issues, education, and global health disparity.
